Reliable loader who is capable to work in all types of weather
Key responsibilities:
- Be a member of a team, the duties of which will involve the collection of waste and/or recycling from household, industrial or commercial properties from a variety of locations and load onto refuse/recycling freighter.
- Carry out manual handling tasks

Experience & Knowledge / Technical skills
- Knowledge of and adherence to correct manual handling techniques and thereby able to identify and undertake the most appropriate lifting and handling techniques for any task
- Previous Refuse/Recycling collection experience
- Experience of dealing with the public
- Understanding of Health and Safety at Work and manual handling techniques.
- Aptitude for assessing vehicle load characteristics and applying correct loading techniques
- CPC Driving Qualification
Skills & Abilities
- Able to communicate effectively and provide customer-focussed service at all times.
- Ability to lift up to 25kg in weight and to undertake the continual, lifting, pulling and pushing of wheeled bins and recycling boxes in all weather conditions
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and to work effectively unsupervised, on own initiative.
- Ability to communicate information clearly to customers and be open and approachable.
- Flexible
- Physically fit due to the demanding nature of the post and able to work outside in all weather.
