Temporary Senior Information Officer/Admin – Procurement

The PIM team is responsible for the management of systems data for the Procurement service and wider organization. A business need has recently been identified for the addition of a temporary Senior Procurement Information Officer.

As a Senior Procurement Information Officer, you will be expected to oversee and support the day to day tasks completed by the junior members on the team, whilst also supporting the Procurement Information Co-Ordinator and Procurement Information Manager in higher level work.

You will be expected to have a high level of attention to detail, be comfortable using multiple different IT systems and handling sensitive data, and be able to communicate effectively at all levels, through different communication methods (phone/email/face to face etc.).


Specific Role Requirements” – to give yourself the maximum chance of success please try and ensure your CV addresses the following essential criteria:

  1. Qualifications:
    1. 3 GCSEs Grade C and above or equivalent including English and Maths
    2. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a field relevant to the post i.e.
      procurement, accounting, customer service etc.
  2. Experience:
    1. Experience of reviewing data in the pursuit of extracting meaningful information that aids the knowledge of a team.
    2. Experience of the management of systems and the quality of systems information
    3. Administrative experience, including word processing and data inputting
    4. Working in a customer focused team, liaising with partner organisations, members of the public and officers at all levels.
    5. Experience in reporting tools
    6. Experience of preparing and delivering training to teams and individuals
  3. Knowledge of Information and performance techniques and approaches.
  4. Knowledge of extracting information, interpreting it to provide information to support the business.
  5. ICT Skills: Knowledge and use of Information Technology, including use of MS Office Packages, Word, Excel and Outlook.
