The purpose of the role is to provide resourcing administration and generalist support to Resourcing Advisors and HR team members, ensuring that all administration and onboarding activity is completed accurately and in a timely manner. Y

The successful candidate will ensure that the resourcing processes are smoothly delivered thus continually improving the resourcing customer journey. Although the focus of this role is in the administration of resourcing, you will be required to support resourcing activities such as interviewing and selection

Key responsibilities:

  1. Provide resourcing administration for the Resourcing Advisors and Managers
  2. across the council, including management of applicant tracking systems and pre- employment checking processes, for example, DBS checks.
  3. Ensure data quality is maintained when entering data into relevant systems and ensure improvements to administrative processes are undertaken in line with policy e.g. right to work.
  4. Providing accurate and timely responses and communication with candidates and hiring managers, responding to queries and requests as appropriate and using discretion to resolve issues.
  5. Providing initial analysis of resourcing management information and preparation of documents, presentations and other material as required.

  1. A-Level qualifications, or equivalent, to include English & Maths.



  1. Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
  2. Sound administrative experience with demonstrable evidence of effectively prioritising work and meeting deadlines, preferably in a recruitment environment.
  3. Demonstrable evidence of providing a customer focused service, meeting client needs.
  4. Demonstrable evidence of resolving routine problems and issues, such as rearranging meeting times.


Skills & Abilities:

  1. Excellent communications and skills and ability to build relationships with applicants, managers and external stakeholders.
  2. Extremely organised with a very high attention to detail.
  3. Ability to work in a fast paced environment whilst delivering first class customer service to both candidates and clients.
  4. Ability to manage changing priorities and multi-task.
  5. ICT Skills: Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
