What's involved with this role:

The responsibilities of the Leasehold Finance (Major  Works) Officer include:

  • Carrying out Section 20 consultation on proposed major works.
  • Calculating major works charges and issuing invoices to leaseholders.
  • Responding to leaseholder enquiries and complaints.
  • Representing the Council at public meetings and events.
  • Other tasks relating to finance, service charges and major works.

Candidates who have experience working in a leasehold services, housing, legal, or financial environment will be of special interest.

  2. Your recent UK working experience going back at least 5 years, or full employment history if you have been working for fewer years than this.
  3. Your availability to work either immediately, or at short notice.
  4. Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation
  5. Experience:
    1. Experience of producing and serving Section 20 Consultations
    2. Experience of working to tight deadlines and providing good customer service within a Local Authority or Housing Association setting
    3. Experience of working in leasehold services, housing, finance or law
  6. Skills:
    1. Excellent customer service skills.
    2. An exceptional standard of written English.
    3. Excellent mathematical and numerical skills.
    4. A methodical nature and very high level of attention to detail.
  7. Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages
