Temporary HGV Driver (Trades and Operatives) x3

Drivers must have up to date CPC and will be required to take a short driving test in a dust cart with a member of fleet.
An HGV Driver is required to drive a heavy goods vehicle in accordance with the schedule determined by the client and undertake routine maintenance of the vehicle.
Responsibilities will include driving a dust cart for the Commercial Waste team, collecting waste from businesses within the area, and collecting either general waste or mixed dried recycling.

Experience/Knowledge:
- Passed the HGV driving test and have subsequently undertaken substantial mileage as an HGV driver, including safely driving in a busy urban environment.
- Aware of safe working practices.
- Knowledge of driving and operating a dustcart, and banksman training.
Skills/Technical skills:
- Able to undertake routine maintenance of motor vehicles and recognise faults with the vehicle needing referral to other services.
- Organised and able to plan out tasks to meet deadlines.
