Full Job Title: Temporary Gardener/Driver x3 – Environment

To undertake, either individually or as a member of a team, all aspects of grounds maintenance within parks & open spaces, housing sites and properties, grass verges, schools, libraries and any other locations that fall under the jurisdiction of the Operations Manager (Grounds Maintenance) and in accordance with agreed schedules, service standards, procedures and Health and Safety requirements.

The key objectives are to:

  • Carry out grounds, facilities and equipment maintenance to agreed standards and deliver high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Implement new planting schemes and associated landscaping to enhance the appearance of the grounds at the aforementioned sites.
  • To work individually or as a member of a team and assist members of the public, Councillors, staff and others courteously with basic enquiries
  • Collect, deliver and dispose of goods, waste and equipment to agreed procedures.
  • Accurately update internal records manually and/or using ICT systems as necessary.
  • Respond flexibly and positively to any unplanned activities, service improvements and customer care initiatives in a timely and professional manner.
  • To carry out routine daily maintenance of the vehicle and replace consumable items as required.
