Temporary Domestic Abuse Coordinator (Admin & Clerical)

A Domestic Abuse Coordinator is needed to undertake administration work for the team who support clients and their families.
You will work within a multi-agency setting to support colleagues and partner agencies to provide the best possible service to victims. You will be responsible for providing high quality support including uploading referrals, support to MARAC processes and minute taking.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide a confidential, professional administrative and business support role to the Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence service.
- Effectively carry out a full range of administrative support, for example, maintaining and updating electronic diaries and arranging meetings, booking resources or specific project administrative support, report writing or organisation of events.
- Support management in ensuring minutes / notes are taken (electronically) and recording and monitoring the key issues and actions to be taken following the meeting.
- Provide help, support and advice to professionals working with families to ensure that they are supported by the most appropriate service.
- Analyse and interpret complex information to assist with the preparation of reports, evaluation of data and a range of written material to support the management team.
- Maintain key working relationships with senior officers and other internal and external clients and organisations, team colleagues and the coordination of activity between these, relevant to the support officer's areas of responsibility.
- Deal effectively with telephone calls and emails. Seek advice and guidance as needed to making decisions based on sound judgement and expertise.
- Responsible for the careful handling and processing of service-related computerised data, filing and retrieving sensitive or contentious data.
- Remain up-to-date and compliant with all relevant organisation procedures, policies, and professional codes of conduct to uphold standards of best practice.

Qualifications/Experience:
- BTEC Higher or equivalent qualification or experience, demonstrating that level of applied knowledge in providing an administration service.
- Experience of providing business support, advice and/or guidance to others.
- Experience of undertaking administrative tasks and processes, including inputting data and using databases.
- Experience of working in a fast paced, innovative work environment, whilst remaining calm.
- Experience of applying relevant legislation, policies and/or procedures to individual pieces of work.
Skills/Technical skills:
- Problem-solving abilities to anticipate problems and resolve issues independently, planning solutions and making sound pragmatic decisions which will have a direct impact on the service.
- Good organisational skills, including the ability to manage time and to plan work effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with both internal and external partners.
- Ability to embrace change and have the flexibility to respond to the needs of the service.
- Highly accurate IT and keyboard skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and adept and proactive at picking up new technologies quickly to produce high quality minutes and reports.
