Temporary Customer Services Officer/Administrator - Housing

Hybrid working
The purpose of the role is to support Customer Services by helping customers with initial Household Support Grant referral forms. Provide a single point of support for Household Support Grant referrals and high level of customer care, focusing on customer needs.
Key responsibilities:
- See the service through the eyes of the customer and make suggestions for improvement where appropriate
- Carry out duties efficiently and effectively.
- Constantly challenge own performance and make improvements.
- Help build pride, passion and reputation for NWLDC.
- Ensure high standards of health and safety practice are maintained in accordance with council policy, including the health and safety and welfare at work of themselves and colleagues.
- Be available to attend council offices in Coalville on a rota basis to support appointments if required.
- Be resilient and able to have flexibility in your working day.

Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
- Experience of working in a customer facing/contact role.
- Experience of dealing directly face to face with the public.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Experience of delivering an outcome focused service.
- ICT Skills: Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
