Full Job Title: Corporate Performance Officer – ICT

Support end-to-end data processing for corporate performance data.

Assist with the maintenance of the Corporate Performance Management Information System.


  • Use the Corporate Performance Management Information System to maintain accurate records of performance data and performance improvement activity.
  • Support the Corporate Performance Manager to develop and maintain records that accurately describe and define performance measures.
  • Support the Corporate Performance Manager to ensure data quality through the identification and investigation of data gaps and errors using data validation tools and other appropriate methods.
  • Support the Corporate Performance Manager to maintain the Corporate Performance Management Information System including system functionality, alerts and notifications, user profiles, system generated reports and visualisations e.g., charts.
  • Assist the Corporate Performance Manager to produce Corporate Performance Reports in accordance with the Corporate Performance Framework.
  • Assist the Corporate Performance Manager to review and refresh the Corporate Performance Framework as required.
  • Create system data queries and reports using pre-set query and reporting templates and tools and assist the Corporate Performance Manager with the development of more complex system reporting tools as required.
  • At the direction of the Corporate Performance Manager source data (including comparator / benchmarking data) from identified published sources and update locally held records.
  • Produce visual representations of performance data such as charts & graphs.
  • When requested, liaise with data contacts in other parts of the Council, to ensure up to date records and to build trust with teams in the usage and ownership of data.



Specific Role Requirements” – to give yourself the maximum chance of success please try and ensure your CV addresses the following essential criteria:

  1. Minimum of 12 months recent experience either in a data related role or in a role with responsibility for processing and interpreting numerical information.
  2. Experience of using information management software (a database) and / or spreadsheets to record and retrieve data.
  3. Ability to use and understand numerical information in a variety of formats.
  4. Able to quickly, methodically and accurately record and quality check data over both long and concentrated periods of time.
  5. Excellent verbal communication skills combined with effective interpersonal and influencing skills to obtain information, share information and have a dialogue with others.
  6. Able to communicate confidently and concisely in writing using both quantitative and qualitative information appropriately.
  7. Knowledge of how to establish and maintain effective quality systems for information monitoring and / or performance management.
  8. Ability to develop skills in information systems maintenance.
  9. ICT Skills: Excellent IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite)
