Temporary Cleansing Operative – Streetcare

Applicants must be fit and capable of work outdoors, lifting, carrying, and walking long distances. Litter picking, clearing leaves, working on Highway & Footpaths, using small tools, emptying bins.
Under the general supervision of a Cleansing Supervisor and day to day direction of the Cleansing Chargehand, to undertake street cleansing duties and other relevant operations.
These include street cleansing and sewer work to an acceptable standard, using appropriate tools, plant, equipment, light and HGV vehicles as required, in accordance with the specification of the cleansing contract and the associated Quality Assurance (ISO 9002) procedures.

- Minimum of 12 months recent non domestic cleaning services experience, preferably within a similar role and ideally within a public sector organisation
- Experience in a Street Cleansing role
- Physical fitness is essential
