Temporary Administrator / Supervisory Admin Support - Safeguarding

To provide supervisory administrative support in a busy Safeguarding Team. The post holder will update databases and provide research, analysis and reconciliation support. They will be the first point of contact for individuals and professionals who have concerns about children, young people and families requiring support.
Key responsibilities:
- Effective co-ordination of the team with flexible administrative support that ensures timely and appropriate assessment of needs and interventions with children, young people and their families.
- Provide the seamless gathering, recording, processing and connecting of information across MASH, GRASP, YOS and inSight.
- Lead on SYVE intelligence gathering and processing of police intelligence via Police Merlins.
- Lead in the management of organising weekly GRASP meetings including sending invitations, arranging venues, taking minutes and circulating papers.
- Lead in analysing complex information and data, producing reports that will contribute in assessing the needs of children, young people and families.
- Create and maintain an accurate up to date information database about children young people and families such as addresses, reports, minutes and actions, ensuring the team’s timescales (statutory and internal) are met.
- Undertake minutes to a high standard recording case discussions and responsible for implementing follow up actions by implementing systems to gather, record and alert team members of actions, deadlines and forthcoming meetings and appointments.

Experience & Knowledge:
- Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
- Experience in dealing with internal and external customers, staff providers of services and ideally young people.
- A understanding of and knowledge of the functions and responsibilities of children's services and their partners.
- An understanding of the key principles relating to safeguarding children in Greenwich.
- An understanding of the purpose and functions of the Safeguarding Children Partnership and its related work groups, and the roles of its member agencies.
Skills:
- Educated to a level that demonstrates ability to produce medium level statistical information, reports and other written work.
- A good level of literacy, numerical skills, oral and written communication skills.
- Highly proficient in minute taking.
- Ability to prioritise own workload and mange that of others and work under the appropriate level of supervision.
- Able to deal with and accurately record sensitive information relating to children which may be distressing and/or disturbing.
- Excellent computer navigation and keyboard skills including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
