This role is for a leading London Police organisation, candidates with current CTC/SC clearances will go through their vetting processes, currently this is taking up to 6 months.  If you are already in a contract that potentially is not ending for a few months and this role is of interest, do let us know, we would be happy to discuss further.

To be part of a team responsible for tracing drivers of vehicles photographed by Speed and Red Traffic Light Safety Camera Enforcement.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure all Speed and Red Light related offences received via the digital Safety Camera systems are viewed in accordance with legislation.
  • Undertake secondary checks on the offences received from the digital network as part of the viewing process.
  • Undertake Police National Computer (PNC) checks for all Safety Camera Activations and searching PNC to identify the correct vehicle registration.
  • Complete evidential statements in relation to cases that are being dealt with through the Prosecutions process.
  • Identify any persistent offenders and ensure all appropriate action is taken.
  • Attend court and give evidence if or when necessary.
  • Collect, scan and sort all incoming post for the section.
  • Process Nominations and Admissions from Notices of Intended Prosecution received.
  • Keep computer records updated of any correspondence or telephone calls received and record action taken or response details.
  • Process cases for prosecution and undertake enquiries to establish identity of driver.
  • Undertake any other administrative duties as directed.

  • Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and be able to plan and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines and timescales.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to work quickly, accurately, and methodically through high volumes of work.
  • ICT Skills: Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
