Responsible to the Safer Spaces Operations Manager for the delivery of an innovative and trauma-informed multi-agency outreach programme that works to identify and address the needs of The Royal Borough of Greenwich’s Street Population
Key Responsibilities:
- Work in a way that respects the street population as a community and promotes dignity at all times.
- Work in a trauma-informed way that ensures the physical and emotional safety for individuals at all times during your work with them, that makes client goals clear, consistent and achievable, that maximises clients’ choice and control through collaboration and sharing of power to focus on enabling the clients’ personal growth.
- Be mindful of how vicarious trauma can affect you as a practitioner and take steps to promote your own mental health and well-being through regular debriefs with members of the team. To ensure that boundaries are clear and that you are working safe manner with people that have trauma in their past.
- Promote partnership working in the assessment and planning process, and to include relevant agencies in the delivery of the service.
- Develop and maintain relationships with referral agencies, including police, housing providers, drug and alcohol treatment services, mental health services and any other relevant partners.
- Liaise closely with other partners to avoid duplication of service delivery.
- Deliver a holistic support service whilst lone-working or with outreach partners as the situation dictates; providing practical support that will include social support, housing support, drug & alcohol treatment support, accompanying clients to appointments, benefits work and assistance obtaining documentation.
- Strengthen and develop relationships with agencies providing services to the street population and to actively promote partnership working and joint approaches.

- Ability to set standards for self and team, prioritising and delivering work within tight deadlines.
