Candidates with current CTC/SC clearances will go through their vetting processes, currently this is taking up to 6 months. This role is an integral part of Commercial Services. Working within the ICT team you will provide essential commercial support to the business, proactively managing one or more of the key contracts. You will contribute to delivering Commercial Excellence for providing a customer focused service, understanding the business need and stakeholder drivers, with the aim of becoming a trusted commercial advisor. You will play an essential part in managing and/or overseeing the overall commercial life cycle and whilst your day to day role may be managing contracts and supplier relationships, you may find yourself leading on any aspects of the commercial life cycle – from developing category/contract strategies and managing procurement processes to managing strategic supplier relationships and rolling out commercial and contract management standards across the organisation
Key responsibilities:
- Developing key stakeholder relationships, challenging business demand where required.
- Developing specifications to deliver requirements that are in line with business needs, category strategies and market trends.
- Sourcing Technology Infrastructure, Software, Professional Services
- Knowledge and application Public Contract Regulations 2015 applied to sourcing and contract management
- Working as part of a team, with differing abilities, in order to deliver to set outcome.
- Managing own workload with competing priorities balancing operationally urgent and important tasks to deliver to key deadlines.
- Writing business reports in order to comply with governance requirements and create commercial sections of relevant board papers
“Role Requirements” – to give yourself the maximum chance of success please try and ensure your CV addresses the following essential criteria:
- Experience of using systems to generate management information/reporting to drive decision making
- Technology procurement experience and knowledge to support established Group Category Plans across the Technology category and enable implementation of Category Strategies
- 3 Years experience sourcing technology infrastructure, professional services and software including licensing requirements through Contracts Finder and Crown Commercial Frameworks
- Good report writing skills, experience business cases
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to deal with enquiries/requests/complaints/escalations and bring to a successful conclusion
- Good written & oral communication and interpersonal skill. Open minded and a good listener (to understand differing needs) but also persuasive and able to influence senior stakeholders at a senior level
- Ability to prioritise and manage own workload whilst balancing both operationally urgent and important tasks to deliver to deadlines
- Highly effective communicator who can work with diverse group of stakeholders and senior managers
- Positive attitude, support and advance the development and capability self, the team and have the behaviours traits and skills to work within a diverse team
