Pay Rate: up to £650.00 per day PAYE, depending on experience (plus 40 days paid holiday)

Hybrid role: 2 days in the office per week

CTC Vetting

This role is for a leading London Police organisation, candidates with current CTC/SC clearances will go through their vetting processes, currently this is taking up to 6 months.  If you are already in a contract that potentially is not ending for a few months and this role is of interest, do let us know, we would be happy to discuss further.

NB: Police Vacancy - only for candidates with a minimum of 3 years continuous UK address history.

A Project Consultant is required to join the dynamic and fast-growing Violence Reduction Unit at a senior level. You will use your expertise and experience to understand what works in reducing violence and to embed best practice across London. You will be an experienced candidate with a passion for working with young people, commitment to equalities and diversity and a determination to succeed.

Key accountabilities:

  • Ensure that the R-MEL Framework and the Outcomes Framework are developed, understood, used and able to be adapted and updated.
  • Further development of research and evaluation of “what works” in reducing violence.
  • Shape the Unit’s Best Practice offer to local authorities.
  • Shape discreet areas to support the strategic development of new VRU programmes.
  • Lead and develop the relationship with the Home office and lead on relations overseeing the grant.
  • Development and embedding of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Work.

  • Successful track record of senior leadership and delivery experience in a violence reduction, community safety or similarly complex, politically sensitive stakeholder environment.
  • A background in improving delivery across a range of diverse areas.
  • Relevant experience in strategy, policy development and performance frameworks.
  • Strong and successful development and delivery of research and evaluation strategy and operation enabling impact assessment and analysis.
  • Demonstrates a positive and compelling vision of London’s future potential for violence reduction, demonstrating confidence in the strategic direction.
  • Strong track record of stakeholder engagement, building networks of influence and delivering public participation and involvement.
  • Good knowledge of public sector governance arrangements and the requirements of public accountability and transparency.
  • Proven history of building, motivating and inspiring effective teams and holding them to account through rigorous performance management and the delivery of measurable outcomes.
  • Achievement in promoting diversity, equality and inclusion, both in the workforce and through work programme development.
