Enhanced DBS required for this role

A Sales Development Lead is required to assist in the advertising and promoting of the Multiply Maths programme. Multiply is a national programme funded by the DfE (free to the user) which aims to increase numeracy levels for adults for whom maths is a barrier to employment progression. Multiply courses can be offered to adults aged 19 and over who do not have a Maths Level 2 qualification or equivalent (GCSE). The course aims to boost numeracy skills in both work and daily life. The role will work alongside the Information & Media Administrator and Marketing team to generate appropriate digital and other advertising materials to use through social media and websites. The role will also require presence in Learning Hubs to engage the general public, and in town centres e.g. footfall in libraries and community venues.

Key responsibilities:

  • Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding potential new opportunities.
  • Encourage interested individuals, businesses and community groups to attend and complete the Multiply programme.
  • Other elements of sales tasks including recruitment, training and market research, as required.
  • Ensure a self-starter attitude while creating outreach strategies for new lead generation methods.
  • Anticipate needs by studying services and conducting market research to identify new leads.
  • Build open and honest relationships with prospective applicants.
  • Report to the Multiply Project Lead with weekly updates and progress.
  • Attend product training and develop an understanding of communication channels.
  • Monitor and attend meetings with prospects while handling the introductions and follow-up with next steps to attend the courses.
  • Be the first point of contact for new business prospects and determine the next steps for each prospect moving forward.
  • Collaborate with Project Lead and others delivering the Multiply programme to bring innovative lead generation ideas to each weekly meeting.

CV Tips

Your CV needs to be current with your most recent role. We won’t be able to submit it with any unexplained gaps in employment. It will save time and improve your chances of success if we can put your CV forward immediately without having to ask for revisions.

Your CV must cover the “Essential Requirements” of the role. Ideally you will address the “Essential Requirements” on each job description page directly, in a bullet point list. Please include any DBS details and other qualifications called for.

Your CV should clearly state that you are available to start work either immediately, or at short notice. In general, our clients are unable to work with notice periods of more than 1 week from the point at which a role is offered, 2 weeks at the very most.

We do not put forward covering letters, so please ensure that your CV in contains all relevant information being called for.

We recommend that you consider sending us a CV suitably tailored CV for each role that you apply for. Job board aggregator sites will generally store only one version of your CV, which can be a bit limiting, so this is to your advantage.
