NB: Police Vacancy - only for candidates with a minimum of 3 years continuous UK address history. Please note that this vacancy is subject to a strict security vetting procedure.
The post holder will be required to provide administrative support within their specific business area. The successful candidate will work within the HR BSU Recruiting team.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide efficient and timely transactional service support to functions delivered by the Business Area.
- Utilise Force and national systems in effectively supporting Police business.
- Deliver high quality support to frontline policing services.
- Develop a broad range of skills to provide effective delivery and resilience within the business area.
- Provide timely advice and support to other business areas within the Force.
- Provide timely and effective advice to external customers and the wider public (where appropriate).

Qualifications:
- C.S.E’s Grades A - C, in Mathematics and English Language, or have proven relevant experience to a comparable level in numeracy and literacy
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
- Must demonstrate proficiency at working to a high degree of accuracy and show attention to detail
- Must demonstrate a practical approach to problem solving
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word for word processing and Excel for data manipulation and reporting (E) X
- Must have effective keyboard inputting skills enabling effective inputting and retrieval of data.
- Must have effective written and oral communication skills.
- Must have previous experience of delivering high standards of service to internal and external customers.
- Must be prepared to successfully complete all training and assessment required of the role.
- Must have the ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh to level 1 or be prepared to achieve this within 6 months of appointment.
- Must be computer literate, proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
