Project Manager will have responsibility to ensure the successful management of obligations and of any partners/suppliers to deliver an assigned non-complex project to meet the needs of its customers. Accountability for delivering the projects to time, budget, scope and quality in accordance with the definitions agreed with the sponsors 

Key responsibilities: 


  • Lead on Piccadilly Line Upgrade (PLU) Testing & Commissioning activities including embedded a realistic Testing and Commissioning (T&C) Plan into Primavera and then Project Manage the facilitation of T&C activities to support the introduction of the new 24 tube stock train. 
  • Support the T&C Team in setting up Inspection and Test plans (ITP’s), including tracker and associated KPI’s, working closely with the wider project teams to ensure this information is available in line with the T&C delivery schedule. 
  • Lead on migration related assurance activities including embedding assurance and approvals governance into Primavera. Project manage the facilitation of assurance activities in relation to Systems Review Group (SRG) and Director’s Risk and Assurance Change Control Team (DRACCT). 
  • Lead on other PLU migration readiness activities, including stakeholder engagement and business change activities to support the programme introduction of new trains and the migration of existing trains on the Piccadilly Line

  • Professional Qualification in Project Management, such as PRINCE2 or APMP 
  • Good knowledge and understanding of project and programme management methodologies and their practical application in a transport setting 
  • Good knowledge and understanding of project control tools and techniques 
  • Good knowledge and understanding of project budgeting, procurement processes and contract management 
  • Good understanding of project and programme management methodologies and processes 
  • Experience of working in a complex, multi-disciplinary, matrix-managed environments 
  • Experience of personal responsibility and accountability for leading and managing small teams 
  • Experience of managing performance and delivery through external contractors and/or suppliers 
  • 2/3 Years PM experience 
  • Stakeholder skills and dealing with a diverse group of people and stakeholders
