Responsible for coordinating and delivering information advice and guidance (IAG) and Employment Support, as well as providing line management to the team of Employment Support Officers. Providing duty management cover and contributing to the day to day operational management of the frontline services
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for line management of up to 5 frontline staff and team leadership on multiple Employment Support programmes. To provide clear direction and information to team members to enable them to maximise payment by results outcomes and targets, including income generation.
- Responsible for providing a frontline advice and guidance service to those seeking employment and eligible to access services, identifying and utilising a range of support mechanisms, interventions, agencies, and organisations that can help to address and move barriers faced by different group.
- Responsible for delivering remote services where necessary, and facilitating the Work Clubs and other motivational training programmes to meet customer needs, in conjunction with partners.
- Conducting and recording PRADs with team members, carrying out regular 1-2-1 supervisory sessions, and the development and review of work plans and targets, where appropriate carry out the performance management of individuals, to ensure achieves all quality and financial measures
- To identify and manage areas of underperformance supportively but rigorously, working with HR to progress persistent under performance through the capability process. Ensure consistently high performance across all externally funding programmes and services, taking mitigating actions to address underperformance as required, including the preparation and execution of Performance and Quality Improvement Plans.
- Support submission of funding claims, monitoring visits and audits with funders and attend external steering group / contract management meetings.
- Ensure team delivery is contractly compliant and financially sound. Use management information to manage performance against contracted targets and short-term delivery plans. Monitor and review service outcomes for contracted programmes, verifying outcomes and submitting performance forecasts.
- 8Responsible for carrying out individual one to one diagnostic interview inductions, and delivering IAG in order to identify barriers to employment and employment and skill gaps, and to develop individual personal development and employment and skills action plans. Provide cover for leave in the absence of Employment Support Officers and assist with their caseloads.
- Responsible for ensuring advisers maintain accurate manual and computerised records and maintain robust data capturing systems in respect to programme, project and service targets, outputs and outcomes.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining referral networks and obtaining up-to date information on a wide range of services offered by complementary specialist partnership organisations to support the removal of barriers to employment
