Minute taking skills and experience are essential for this role

A Personal Assistant/Executive Assistant is required to provide a comprehensive and confidential Personal Assistant support service to the Director of Commissioning, undertaking various administrative and PA duties.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure familiarisation with the Director’s commitments, current priorities and working practices.
  • Use own initiative to draft correspondence (letters, emails etc).
  • Accurate document production using Microsoft Office suite of packages, using corporate templates, maintaining confidentiality as appropriate.
  • Minute taking and coordination of meetings as required.
  • Provide a diary management service.
  • Develop and maintain manual and computerised record systems to ensure that information is up to date and available for use.
  • Liaise with other services and external organisations in order to deal effectively with all enquiries received.

  • 3 A Levels, NVQ 2/3 in Business Administration (or equivalent experience).


Experience & Knowledge:

  • Minute taking skills and experience are essential for this role.
  • Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
  •  Appreciate diversity in both customers and colleagues and be considerate of their specific needs.
  • Good knowledge of administrative practices, processes and procedures within an office environment.


Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail skills.
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
  • Excellent organisation skills.
  • Good communication skills, both face to face and written.
  • Understanding of the importance of confidentiality.
