Enhanced DBS required for this role
A Nursery Assistant is required to support the teaching and learning of young children.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide a happy, safe and stimulating environment for the children.
- Adhere to Childcare’s policies and procedures.
- Contribute to planning and implement a quality curriculum that encompasses high quality childcare practice within a framework of equal opportunities.
- Liaise with other professionals and agencies to ensure each child achieves their maximum potential.
- Work within National Legislation and adopted guidance on good practice within childcare settings.
- Work in partnership with parents/carers encouraging links with the wider community.
- Work effectively and co-operatively as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of the nursery, actively participate in the consultation process, attend staff/team meetings and training days within normal working hours.

Other “Essential Requirements” – Please check to ensure that your CV addresses the following items:
- Level 2 or equivalent in Child Care.
- GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English.
- Experience of working in a childcare setting throughout the 0-5 years range.
- Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
