NPPV Level 2
A Network Engineer is required to work on projects across two Forces for the successful provision of the network and data requirements and to work on the DCS Project. Ability to travel between South Yorkshire and Humberside is a requirement for this role.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee technical projects in alignment with organisational goals.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and drive initiatives to improve the customer experience.

- Develop and maintain an expert knowledge of the projects IT footprint and other IT systems and drive improvements to service quality/customer experience.

Qualifications:
- Hold a relevant degree or proven experience of working at industry standard level.
- Cisco CCNA certified.
- CCNP, CCDA certified desirable but not essential.
Experience & Knowledge:
- An excellent understanding of Network Hardware Technologies (CISCO preferred). Firewalls, Proxy Servers, Routers, Switches, WI-FI. Wan Acceleration).
- Knowledge and ability to utilise network technologies such as TCP/IP, MPLS, Client VPN and WAN VPN, WAN, LAN, VLANs, QoS, Multi-Cast, Telephony and VOIP, Penetration Testing.
- Experience in Cisco CCNP, CCDA desirable but not essential.
- Cisco Firepower, Palo Alto Firewall experience.
- Cisco Nexus Switches familiarity.
- Knowledge of Web Service, Security Certification and SSL technology.
- Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation
