Interim SO2 Ammunition Efficiencies - PSR 1JP00017658

Key Tasks

  • Negotiate and place Work in conjunction with the Army HQ Project Manager and the Unit Ammunition Management System (UAMS) Team
  • Liaise with Defence General Munition Project Team (DGM PT) and other elements of DE&S to understand all aspects of the ammunition stockpile and transactions, including reverse supply chain and disposals
  • Review the policy, process, assumptions and activities related to each of the new and existing initiatives
  • Confirm the scope and scale of potential efficiencies and provide an assessment of the cost avoidance and savings that could be achieved – including a cost versus risk benefit analysis
  • Provide a detailed report on the findings from Phase 1 to the Army Log Team and state recommendations on further development of the new and existing initiatives
  • Demonstrate benefits to be accrued over a forecast ten year period


  • An MSc, Defence Logistic Staff Course, or similar academic experience
  • Previous military Grade 2 staff experience
  • Experience of the CADMID cycle
  • Experience of the Joint Supply Chain
