Interim Service Desk Analyst x4

Office-based role: Candidates must be able to work 24/7 and 12 hour shifts
SC or DV Clearance (Applicants must also be willing to undergo NPPV3 vetting)
This role is for a leading London Police organisation, candidates with current CTC/SC clearances will go through their vetting processes, currently this is taking up to 6 months. If you are already in a contract that potentially is not ending for a few months and this role is of interest, do let us know, we would be happy to discuss further.
As a Service Desk Analyst you will provide 1st line support. You will deal with customers via email, phone and video conferencing. The issue will be logged and then tracked through to resolution according to ITIL best practice.
Key duties:
- Provide primary interface with customers via telephone, email, face-to-face and video conferencing.
- Log all Incidents, Service Requests, Problems, Changes and Knowledge in ITSM tool to ensure that issues are appropriately identified and tracked through to resolution.
- Analyse issues using 1st line knowledge, processes and procedures.
- Priorities issues based on ITIL best practice (Impact / Urgency) and determine if a 1st Line fix is achievable before escalating to 2nd Line Support or Third Parties.
- Provide a high level of customer service at all times.
- Take ownership and responsibility of daily checks / tasks, ensuring that they are accounted for and completed to a high standard.

Experience & Skills:
- A sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, operating systems and mobile technologies.
- Basic working knowledge of Cisco VoIP and Video Conferencing systems.
- Analytical mind-set.
- Good written and verbal skills and ability to explain issues easily.
- Experience in a customer service role (technically diverse environment beneficial).
- Excellent standard of written English and ability to explain issues easily and compose well-written emails.
- Worked with a service management framework (ITIL beneficial).
Desirable:
- ITIL Foundation Certification.
- Experience of STRAP Environments.
- Experience of HMG Protective Marking Scheme.
- Experience within a secure police or public sector environment.
