What's involved with this role:

Interim Senior Trainer - PSR 1JP00018565

We need people who have experience developing and delivering a training strategy for business change and adoption of products such as those within the Microsoft suite.

It's important that we have someone who is very familiar with those products and has experience delivering as part of a person-centred change management model.

The ideal candidate is a creative self-starter with a demonstrated ability to collaborate with teams, adapt to new ways of working and take initiative in a changing environment.

Key ​Responsibilities​:

  • Develop and maintain technology training modules for CGB employees
  • Define and follow-through roadmaps for training delivery
  • Review and report on training metrics of success
  • Deliver training (across multiple products) face-to-face, via live stream, recordings and other appropriate formats
  • Learn about and how to use products quickly in order to prepare for training delivery
  • Collaborate with User Researchers on the team to identify training needs and opportunities to facilitate users’ learning
  • Facilitate reviews against training acceptance and assessment criteria, as part of the training triage group
  • Help ensure the CGB knowledge base remains up-to-date, accessible and useful
  • Monitor, evaluate and share information on training uptake and experience
  • Collaborate with wider team to ensure content development is based on an understanding of user needs
  • Contribute towards building a shared mindset and understanding of the role of technology as an enabler, across the organisation

Essential​ skills and experience:

  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal communication, and writing skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, changing environments
  • Some project management experience
  • Ability to engage and consult with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • A strong technical background and experience
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications
  • An authentic, natural delivery style
  • Experience of storytelling and engaging audiences on specific topics
  • Ability to travel around the country

    Desirable skills and experience:

  • Experience as a trainer and ability to manage a room of learners
  • Experience working within the software development arena
  • Some instructional design experience
  • Experience in sales, preferably with an account management focus
  • Proficient with video technology including filming, editing and sharing
  • Knowledge of competitive training company offerings and methodology
