Full Job Title: Interim Integrated Brokerage Admin Officer – Adults & Health

Candidates must be able to work a 5 day over 7 which includes weekends.

As a Brokerage Officer you will be responsible for providing line management to staff, and a range of brokerage tasks for both health and social care teams ensuring customers' outcomes are met whilst achieving best value. It will be important that you enjoy working as part of a busy team with a can-do attitude and have an eye for detail. It is important that you understand the type of support vulnerable adults require.

It is essential that the successful candidate have experience in a range business administration programmes and databases such as Oracle and Mosaic or similar.

To be successful in this role you will have a proven track record of working within a team, experience of managing staff, along with an extensive IT skills with experience using Databases, MS Word and Excel Spreadsheets.


Specific Role Requirements” – to give yourself the maximum chance of success please try and ensure your CV addresses the following essential criteria:

  1. GCSE including mathematics and English Language – Grade 5-9 (A-C) or equivalent
  2. Knowledge:
    1. Knowledge of legislation relevant to the delivery of Adult Social Care e.g. the Care Act, National Care Standards Act.
    2. Knowledge of care provision for one or more client groups including mental health, older people and disabilities
    3. Good administrative and IT skills , including diary management, minute taking, arranging meetings, telephone call handling filing, and knowledge of spreadsheet, oracle and other databases
    4. Knowledge of brokerage, direct payments, self-directed support and personalised budgets
  3. Experience:
    1. Experience of working to tight deadlines and of setting and achieving targets (able to work within demand led service with conflicting deadlines)
    2. Proven administrative experience working in a public sector (or equivalent) organisation using Mosaic financials or similar client information systems
    3. Experience of setting up complex care packages/placements including the negotiation of cost while adhering to the council financial envelope
    4. Experience of supervising and managing staff
  4. ICT Skills: Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite)
