Interim HR Business Advisor – Transport Services

The purpose of the role is to support the Business Partnering team to deliver priorities and activities as part of their business units people strategy and HR BAU deliverables.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the Business Partnering teams to analyse data and provide business context to use business insights to improve organisational effectiveness.
- Carry out insightful analysis using metrics / reporting and identify issues relating to people activities, highlighting areas for improvement to the Business Partnering teams.
- Take responsibility for ensuring all key meetings with Trade Unions are organised and adhered to within the relevant company. agreements / frameworks with agendas, supporting packs, minutes, company bulletins and actions sent out in an accurate and timely manner.
- Support the Business Partnering teams on HR projects / programmes where required ensuring the efficient delivery and evaluation.
- Provide support to Business Partnering teams with managing the efficient delivery of change programmes, especially were related to people activities.

Experience:
- Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
- Experience of working within a large, complex and highly unionised environment (desirable).
- Experience of supporting the delivery of change.
- Experience of problem solving.
- Experience working in HR.
- Experience of providing data to support colleagues in a pressurised environment.
- Professionally qualified, e.g. higher level degree or equivalent (desirable).
Knowledge:
- HR policies, procedures, and processes.
- Working with Trade Unions in a partnership approach.
- Knowledge of method of identifying root causes and provide interventions to enable achievement of business objectives and high performance.
- Knowledge of Employment legislation and ACAS best practice.
Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to assist in diagnosing customer needs. Demonstrates understanding of customer expectations and agrees to success criteria. Solves technical problems and provides tactical support to HR Business Partners
- Carries out research and data collection and provides basic technical skills and experience to a project.
- Skills on how to build trust of employees and managers by providing consistently sensible, informed thought through advice.
- Skills of gathering data from a variety of sources and interpret to provide analysis to inform credible conclusions with use of visual aids
- Ability to analyse data, prepare time-frames and documentation to support the negotiation/consultation process
- ICT Skills: Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
