This opening assignment is for 2 months 


Currently predominately working from home and coming into the office at West Bridgford when required to meet any training and business objectives. 2 Days in office per month approximately.

An ICT Deployment Support Specialist to work within the ICT Services Department. You will join a small team of three other Deployment Specialists and will report to the Customer Engagement Manager. Specification, planning, development and delivery of end user support to maximise the benefits derived from ICT-enabled business projects and the further exploitation of existing ICT tools and technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with ICT Service Support Engagement and stakeholders to analyse and define the user communication, education, and training and support requirements required to maximise the benefits from ICT-enabled business projects.
  • Work with ICT Service Support Engagement and stakeholders to analyse and define the user education, training and support requirement required to drive further benefits from the use of existing tools and technologies.
  • Plan, develop and deliver the user education, support and training in line with programme, project and business timescales. This may include computer-based training, classroom-based training, presentations, floor walking and 1-1 support.
  • Support the analysis and identification of the ICT skills needs across the workforce.
  • Develop and provide specialist applications support for major customer ICT systems, prioritising and actioning requests for assistance.
  • Provide specialist application support guidance to the Service Desk Teams to refresh their knowledge and ability to support customers.
  • Maintain up to date application support skills for all relevant systems
  • Contribute to the knowledge base for supporting major customer ICT systems.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of an appropriately skilled team to meet the needs of the business plan.
  • Membership of any working groups, forums or committees within the post holder’s area of work.

  • Educated to degree level.


  • Has a good overall knowledge of business processes and how they are supported by key applications.
  • Has a good understanding of project management methodologies and lifecycles.


  • Five years relevant work experience in a training and support environment.
  • Proven experience in supporting the deployment of ICT-enabled programmes and projects.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in specifying, planning, development and delivery of training materials and user guidance relating to various ICT products and technologies; including Microsoft 365 suite, End User Device Hardware such as smartphones and internally developed software applications.
  • Has experience and training in training needs analysis and the delivery of education and training.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrates good oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates good presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and be proficient in supporting users of all ICT Skill levels. You must be someone that can apply attention to detail and have a passion for discovery and learning.
  • Being able to apply innovation for the sharing of ICT skills and knowledge with users to ensure they are confident and prepared to adopt new and changed technologies is key to this role. You must be highly motivated working on your own or as part of the team.
