We operate throughout the Wessex region, with sites in Andover, Devizes, Wells and Dorset. Occasional travel may be required within our area of operation so a driving licence and use of car for business purposes is essential
The purpose of the role is to provide a proactive and effective HR generalist advisory service to colleagues and leaders, ensuring they are aware of relevant policy, principles and processes and signpost relevant information and guidance, as required.
Provide support and coaching to leaders in respect of employee relations issues and case management, escalating to, and supporting the ER partner/s where appropriate. This may include, attending meetings, note taking, preparing information packs, and ensuring any related correspondence is managed and filed appropriately.
Key Responsibilities:
- In conjunction with all the People Team hubs and Payroll team, collaboratively support a seamless experience for all new and existing leaders and colleagues
- Provide initial employee relations advice and guidance to leaders along with transactional case management administration, in accordance with People Policies, referring to the Employee Relations Partner where necessary:
- Advising leaders and supporting them with best practice and legislative insight to enable fair and reasonable decisions or applications of policy and procedure
- Ensure outcomes & follow up action are undertaken, updating the case management system, and ensuring transaction of the case to close
- Where required (and under relevant supervision provide relevant support to the wider People team (i.e., where additional resourcing requirements occur), this might include covering / or assisting short term for co-ordinators within other People teams or hubs
- Administer and maintain the HRIS and case management system, in line with relevant legislative, procedural and GDPR requirements
- Where required, support at formal meetings as provide note taker
- Facilitate and support the transactional processes required to changes of terms and conditions, within relevant business area.

Qualifications:
- Educated to GCSE Standard (or equivalent), including passes in English and Maths.
- Hold a recognised HR or CIPD Level 5 qualification Experience of providing initial support and guidance to leaders in relation to Employee Relation matters, preferably in an HR Advisor role.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
- Knowledge and understanding of HR administration and HR technology.
- Client relationship management: act as first point of contact for Employee Relations advice for colleagues or leaders at all levels of the organisation.
- Clear and confident communicator (verbal and written) with the ability to adapt communication style in given situations.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver high quality work in a timely manner.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise work to offer a consistently high level of service.
- Basic understanding of GDPR and experienced in the management of HR systems, including case management and digital filing systems.
- Experience with HR Information Systems (i.e., iTrent or Dynamics HR), SharePoint and Service Now is preferred.
- ICT Skills: Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
