Full Job Title: HR Adviser – Human Resources

The Candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end recruitment process and handle a caseload of Absence Management cases.
To provide high quality advice and guidance to managers on a range of HR issues, in a designated service area.
To provide a comprehensive end-to-end customer-focussed recruitment consultancy service to the business, engaging with the service area to develop a greater understanding of their service needs and how these can be best met through the effective use of different contract types, media and direct sourcing.
Be an active member of HR working closely with colleagues to ensure that the HR service operates effectively.

- CIPD qualified
- Role Specific Requirements:
- Membership of CIPD or other relevant professional body
- Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service including some out of hours working as required
- Able to visit Council buildings across the borough
- Experience:
- Experience of working in an HR role providing an Employee Relations service, with specific experience of advising on and managing casework relating to disciplinaries, grievances, managing attendance and capability
- Experience of working in a Resourcing service in a large organisation, including effective management of recruitment campaigns
- Demonstrable experience of successfully advising, coaching and influencing at all levels within an organisation
- Experience of working with customers to build effective relationships
- Experience of using HR systems for management of case work
- Experience of managing end-to-end recruitment processes using an applicant tracking system
- Knowledge & Skills:
- Sound understanding of employment legislation and the impact of this on HR practice in particular with regard to Employee relations and Recruitment
- Excellent demonstrable interpersonal skills with ability to advise confidently at all organisational levels
- Demonstrable ability to communicate fluently and accurately both verbally and in writing.
- ICT Skills: Excellent ICT skills including the ability to learn and use service specific software
