The candidate will need to be flexible to work from home and the office as and when required.
Ideally local if at all possible.
A valid driving license and own car are essential
The post holder will continuously review the operational processes within the services to ensure continuous improvement and that an excellent service is provided to customers, including training staff where a need is identified, monitoring data streams to keep abreast of trends and responding to statutory requests for review under the Housing Act 1996 and Freedom of Information data requests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Continuously review housing options cases, identifying areas for improvement and of good practice.
- Provide training and/or coaching to Housing Service staff where areas for improvement are identified.
- Carry out statutory reviews under Part VII and Part VI of The Housing Act 1996.
- Respond to customer complaints across the service, ensuring that any learning is identified and embedded.
- Monitor relevant housing statistics and identify trends, translating back to service provision.
- Respond to Freedom of Information requests, ensuring data is shared appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Contribute towards the development of Housing Service strategies, policies and procedures.
- Keep abreast of good practice on a local and national basis and embed into service provision where practical to do so.
- Represent the Housing Service at internal and external meetings.
- Offer a customer focused service using systems thinking principles.

Qualifications:
- Degree in Housing, or equivalent experience
- Membership of the CIH
- Project/Change Management qualification
Experience & Knowledge:
- Extensive housing options knowledge – law and process
- Experience of carrying out statutory reviews
- Experience in coaching/training
Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to collate and analyse datasets
- Excellent IT skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and databases
- Ability to effectively manage a complex and varied workload
- Ability to deal sensitively with vulnerable customers
- Excellent communications skills – verbal and written
- Demonstrate a confidence and resilience to deal with changing demands;
- Ability to work on own initiative, be a self-starter, proactive and respond accurately to tight deadlines, and able to prioritise between conflicting demands.
