Post holder will support the work of the frontline Assessment Team - progressing homeless applications 

Key responsibilities: 

 

  • To assist the Housing Options Service in providing a comprehensive service to help clients who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. 
  • To process applications for bonds and rent in advance. 
  • To provide information and advice to client presenting to the service by telephone, email, web chat and face to face.  
  • To provide advice to staff and customers and partners (including private landlords, letting agencies and social letting agencies) in relations to private sector accommodation available.   
  • To process applications from homeless clients, and provide support to assessment officers as required. 
  • To provide assistance to ensure the housing waiting list is up to date 
  • To assist in the preparation and presentation of information as required, including statistical information. 
  • To ensure good communication is maintained within the team, providing cover for other officers and contributing to the work of the team as a whole 
  • To carry out any general office duties as reasonably required including maintaining all necessary records and to providing monitoring information as required. 
  • To work to meet individual and team targets ensuring KPI targets are met
