Fleet Assistants provide local support for operational teams and departments, Fleet Assistants liaise between the 4 JTS Workshop and Front line Units to ensure that all vehicle repairs and maintenance are carried out in a timely and efficient manner. A vital part of your role will be liaising and coordinating with operational teams, the local workshop or agreed third party providers to book and deliver vehicles for maintenance / repair. In supporting the vehicle users you will need to build relationships with your operational policing colleagues to make them aware of the necessary checks that they will need to make to safely use the vehicles. You will also act as an escalation point for any issues that are identified by the vehicle users.
