To process applications for the disclosure of police information to Family Courts (as per the nationally agreed protocol). Applications are received from Private law solicitors, Councils, Litigants in person and Legal Aid requests many of the requests are at Court Order stage or a Witness Summons for the data due to the significant backlog
Key Responsibilities:
- Communication with – Private Law Solicitors, Councils, Courts, CAFCASS, Legal Aid, Litigants In Person, ACRO (Interpol) request, Whereabouts Court Orders, Legal Services (Force Solicitors), CPS Lawyers
- Comprehensive reports in chronological order for force solicitor/court/councils and also supervision/manager if required when attending court
- Incidents/Crimes retrieval – person searches, address searches, event searches, Interpretate Witness
- Summons/Court Order and scrutinise incoming, PNC searches and prints, Searching Legacy Data Store events and deep store evidential material.
- Other material that is required to be gathered of which can be redacted and unredacted:- Photographs, Witness Statements, 999 calls, Exhibits, Messenger, FaceBook, SMS messages, TikTok and What’s App messages (all social media), Phone reports, Interview Notes, ROTI (Record of Taped Interviews) Police Powers of Protection Documents, summaries of evidence, PIP 1 & 2, crime logs/reports, DAB reports, DASH reports, Case and Custody, OPTIK (Electronic PNB), CCTV
- Retrieval VFE (Visual Forensic Evidence), TALON/RASSO Logs (Rape and Sexual Offence Offences) PIPPA Logs.
- Preparing evidence for family courts both redacted and unredacted
- To edit Body Worn Video/Audio/Video Interviews to remove sensitive information for disclosure to external agencies.
- Attend Family Court as and when required.
- Preparing evidence for family courts both redacted and unredacted and adhering to court order deadlines
