What's involved with this role:

Enhanced DBS disclosure required

The key purpose of this position is to assist the Office Manager with a high quality administrative service to support the smooth functioning of the children’s centre locality teams and nursery to undertake reception duties including dealing with telephone queries, receiving visitors and directing them to relevant activities and resources within the building, to support office finance systems and processes, to issue contracts and invoices to nursery parents, to signpost and promote services, to accurately input confidential data onto databases, to support the Manager with admin duties and, to liaise with customers and suppliers.

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for leading on key tasks ensuring that they are completed efficiently and accurately. They will be expected to be able to work as part of a team and be able to deal with day to day issues using their own initiative. As part of a busy team, the Administrative Assistant will have a proactive approach to tasks, excellent timekeeping skills and, show dedication to delivering an excellent service to the people of Camden.

 

Specific Role Requirements” – to give yourself the maximum chance of success please try and ensure your CV addresses the following essential criteria:

  1. Experience & Skills:
    1. Minimum of 12 months recent administration experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation
    2. Front of house experience in a busy reception
    3. Excellent customer service skills
    4. Experience of providing admin support to a team
    5. Good verbal and written communication skills
    6. Flexible can-do attitude
  2. ICT Skills: Experience and knowledge of using database systems. Working experience and knowledge of MS office packages including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
