Temporary Electrician - Multi Trade

Basic DBS disclosure required

Mobile workers - start from home, office postcode is the centre of the area. 

Experienced Electrician with skills in other trades. Electrician to cover Peterborough and surrounding areas. Working independently, you will be responsible for the repairs and maintenance within the Commercial sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by the onsite supervisor
  • Service equipment.
  • Ensure that routine maintenance is carried out to all building plant, equipment and systems to meet and exceed expectations, and agreed service level agreements.
  • Electrically you will be working on single and three phase systems, fire alarm testing, lighting and power, UPS systems and more electrical duties.
  • Maintain strict compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
  • Keep detailed records of all maintenance work performed.
  • Work flexible working hours to suit business requirements.
  • Escalate issues to Supervisor/Contract Manager immediately.
  • Form part of the out of hours call out rota, attend emergency repair works as required.
  • Liaise with specialist sub-contractors and engineers with other disciplines to ensure the efficient operation of the plant / area without disruption to the client.

Unless the DBS requirement stated above is for a Basic Disclosure, your DBS must be either through us or be accompanied by a subscription to the DBS updating service.

Qualifications:

  • 18th Edition qualified
  • Have a 2391 Testing and Inspecting certificate.
  • Must hold a valid UK driving licence as a company vehicle will be provided for work use only.

Knowledge:

  • Demonstrated expertise in commercial facilities maintenance.   

Experience:

  • Strong fault-finding experience is essential in this role, and you will be expected to carry out works on traditional plant equipment right through to more modern systems
  • Experience of working on single and three phase systems, fire alarm testing, lighting and power, UPS systems and more electrical duties.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Fault finding skills on all forms of electrical plant / systems.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Need to be able to work independently from start to finish of a project
  • Be able to operate SMART devices and complete electronic documentation.
