Interim Digital Product Manager – Hybrid role – DIGPSR 1JP00063651

Pay Rate: Up to £600 per day pay range subject to IR35 status

SC cleared candidates will be prioritised

Hybrid 2/3 days per week in the office initially but this can be reduced and be predominantly remote after handover and building up network

Key accountabilities:

  • Manage and maintain the baseline of all PPS circuits and the data associated with the circuits including, terminating points, usage, status etc.
  • Maintain, update, and improve the baseline data by extracting, analysing and updating records using multiple external MSP and internal sources to present the most up to date information possible.
  • Provide subject matter expertise (SME) support and respond to requests for information from internal and external stakeholders about the existing PPS products in the baseline, including their use, architecture, routing etc.
  • Manage stakeholders and Customers, DD Customer Managers (CMs), DD programmes/projects, DIO and industry partners to deliver the required PPS Product changes
  • Provide regular and ad hoc reporting into Defence Digital project governance.
  • Act as the point of contact for contracted suppliers adhering to relevant contract management processes within DD, ensuring delivery is on within the T/C/P envelope.
  • Understand the cost of existing PPS circuits, products and services in order to provide assistance in determining any cost / benefit or VfM analysis associated with the through life management of PPS.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise to support BAU delivery.

 

Key requirements:

  • Technical knowledge and experience of MOD and commercial telecommunications networks, products, systems and services, and their lifecycle evolution from analogue to modern IP/Ethernet
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team and form effective partnerships, with multiple external and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to extract and manipulate data in MS Office applications and dedicated applications such as IMS, JMS etc and present this data to show current baselines and change over time
  • Knowledge of Military networks especially PPS and DFTS
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Manipulating data, excel etc. Analyse and report findings

 

Desirable:

  • Modern IP/Ethernet experience.
  • Experience of identifying risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and opportunities within a telecommunications product or service.
  • Experience of working with multiple external and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience of understanding the financial aspects of in-service products, circuits and services and forecasting how these may change through life.
