To review and assess Force systems to identify cases linked to County Lines and make the relevant direct data entry (DDE) intelligence submissions onto the Police National Database (PND) as well as creating Police National Computer (PNC) County Lines (CL) Marker reports for subsequent authorisation
Key responsibilities:
- To research, assess and evaluate Niche intelligence reports, crime reports and VPRF1 referrals to identify county lines deal line names, impacting locations, branding, types of drugs, persons and vehicles in order to make direct data entries on to PND for intelligence or warning markers for threat, risk and harm via the harm markers and other areas of note such as, if linked to social media, transport or finances.
- To research assess and evaluate Niche intelligence reports, crime reports and VPRF1 referrals to identify victims, offenders or others in need of a CL warning marker, and to create and submit PNC marker requests for authorisation by the Detective Inspector Operation Toxic.
- Ensure all PNC / PND reports and inputs are processed in a timely, sensitive and confidential manner in accordance with current DPA legislation, GDPR, Authorised Professional Practice (APP) on Information Management issued by the College of Policing including Home Office Code of Practice on MOPI and Freedom of Information Act.
- To adhere to all legal frameworks, key working principles, policies and guidance relevant to the role.
- Be accountable for all Health & Safety issues, including risk assessment, appertaining to the post holder’s area of responsibility, in order to fulfil the statutory obligations of the Health & Safety at Work Act, 1974

- Proficiency in using force IT systems such as MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word along with the ability to self-improve by gaining on-line learning from NCALT, Breeze and Virtual Training Library in any relevant courses when necessary in order to improve knowledge and skills to provide an effective service to assist the Force tackle county lines
- Ability to research and interrogate force systems i.e. NICHE, PNC, PND, CORVUS and STORM in order to collate information relevant to the role on a daily basis
