Leading on the draft resident involvement strategy consultation and writing the final resident involvement strategy. Procurement of the tenant and home owner advice contract
Key responsibilities:
- This role is pivotal in making the resident involvement team a customer centric and commercially astute business unit with responsibility for managing a diverse range of resident involvement projects including the resident involvement strategy.
- You will be pivotal in building and managing excellent relationships with residents and be comfortable having ownership and accountability for the tasks assigned to you. You will work with a large and diverse number of residents and external stakeholders, from delivery partners and providers to senior managers, helping to ensure the key priorities of the business unit are delivered on time, to budget, and to the highest possible quality.
- You will be responsible for managing the resident participation calendar and supporting the team to ensure all consultation and resident participation meetings are programmed and management resources are in place so resident consultation meetings and conferences are conducted in a professional, orderly and timely manner.
- You will monitor and control the progress of resident participation projects, identifying and managing associated finances, risks and issues in accordance with best practice in project management principles, addressing and taking corrective action where required to ensure delivery against plans.
- You will monitor, collect and publish a range of performance data and service improvement plans

- A sound knowledge of and practical experience project management and control techniques, including project planning and appraisal, financial and performance analysis and management, risk management, issue resolution and evaluation with residents and other stakeholders
- Good understanding of project delivery in local government
- Demonstrable experience of developing, managing and delivering large and small scale high projects in complex organisations, and a track record of successfully delivering results on target and within budget
- Evidence of well-developed IT skills, solid experience of using financial management systems and processes, and excellent report writing skills
- Ability to work effectively in the face of challenging priorities, demanding workloads and challenging deadlines
