Basic DBS disclosure required 

Responding to incoming calls and emails from the general public and internal partners, on behalf of the Community Services department, and resolving queries from customers. Taking booking requests for Community Meals and Transport services and alerting the teams of any cancelations or additional requests for support 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Helping customers access our Community Transport, Community Meals services.  
  • Supporting residents by signposting them to partnership schemes and organisations including completing food bank referrals.  
  • Showing customers around the centre to show what support is available to them, including the Playzone, Coffee Shop Area, Older Persons Activity Hub, Community Fridge, Community Pantry, and Thrive at the Hive.  
  • Daily cashing up of tills (card and cash payments) including the end of day reporting, reconciling incoming payments to the Accounts Dept, and identifying any issues regarding reconciliation. Compiling all cash money ready for collection by the security team  
  • Reconciling welfare money raised by the customers and keeping a log of all income and expenditure.  
  • Placing order requests and accurately coding invoices on behalf of teams within Community Services using our financial database. 
  • Weekly collation of the Vulnerable Persons report to send to Surrey County Council  
  • Raising monthly invoices for external groups and organisations, as well and regular customers for Community Meals and the Activity Centre
