Temporary Business Support Officer - Adult Social Care (Admin & Clerical)

A Business Support Officer is needed to provide a reliable, high quality administrative and support service to Adult Social Care.
Key responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of the Business Support Team ‘service offer’ helping to professionalise and future-proof administrative and support services by participating in task-finish working groups.
- Identifying any potential issues with administrative processes and escalating to Team Leaders.
- Assessing any service complaints received and escalating to a Team Leader where appropriate.
- Providing high quality, consistent, efficient, and effective support services within agreed timescales.
- Supporting different front line teams and projects simultaneously.
- Providing high level specialist minute-taking support to all service areas across Adult Social Care.
- Provide support to specialist areas which may involve some working with our partners and as detailed in the supplementary tasks document attached.
- Be a nominated ‘subject matter expert’ lead for at least two appropriate corporate functions such as HR, Finance, IT, Complaints etc.
- Compile scheduled and ad-hoc reports as required.
- Provide diary management and plan and facilitate meetings and events.
- Ability to support teams using a variety of ICT Systems and processes as required by services such as Liquid Logic.

Experience:
- Experience of interpreting, analysing, and dealing with sensitive information and data.
- Excellent experience of at least two of the following functions: HR, Finance, IT, Data Analysis, Quality Assurance, Complaints, Project Management and Commissioning.
- Experience of working to tight deadlines in a fast paced, results-focused environment without compromising accuracy.
- Excellent experience of administration and organisation of meetings and events, including writing formal minutes and facilitating.
- Experience of financial management processes including tasks such as paying and reconciling invoices, and creating, updating, and reconciling spreadsheets.
- Experience of providing administrative support on Projects across Adults Social Care.
Skills/Technical skills:
- Able to work in a fast pace multi matrix management team.
- Able to multi-task and demonstrate a flexible approach to workload management to ensure various administrative tasks are completed in order of priority.
- Confident with IT applications such as MS word and MS excel.
- Able to learn and utilise different databases.
- Have a solution focused approach.
- Able to provide high quality, consistent, efficient, and effective support services within agreed timescales.
- Able to support various operational and business management teams.
- Able to provide minute-taking support to various service areas (desirable but training can be provided).
- Able to support diary management, including planning and facilitating meetings and events.
