Interim Building Contracts Manager - Project

Flexible hybrid working - expected onsite 1-2 days depending on workload
Programme manager level, delivering major works, leading on procurement routes, managing major works programmes within affordable housing sector. Looking for someone to come in and hit the ground running
Key responsibilities:
- Uphold SHPs Values, Behaviours & Leadership expectations at all times (see overleaf)
- To lead the development and promotion of strong and effective relationships with nominated key partners and SHP colleagues to ensure that maximum value and service is derived from the supply base for all business units, residents and service users.
- Manage the repairs and maintenance service for a district covering responsive and planned projects, voids and programmes of capital and revenue spend.
- Manage service providers and consultants to deliver high levels of service. Take the lead as contract manager on borough-wide contracts as required.
- Manage partners to ensure delivery of the agreed SLA & KPIs. Delivery weekly, monthly and yearly data providing in the moment contract monitoring to enable close management of the contracts.
- Monitor work for quality, resident satisfaction, spending against budget and provide reports and statistical information.
- Identify trends through rigorous analysis of data, then act to continually improve the service through service & value improvement action plans.
- Involve residents in the monitoring of the performance of the service areas.
- Lead on effectively liaising with residents on property related matters, including leasehold consultation and right to buy information

- HND or relevant qualification and or extensive senior management experience or equivalent in repairs and maintenance
- Proof of CIOB/MRICS accreditation
- Knowledge and experience of Building Maintenance including Health & Safety management
- Strong and practical knowledge of leaseholder legislation and processes surrounding Section 20 requirements
- Experience of managing service providers in a social housing context
- Experience of managing technical staff
- Financial & budgeting skills to set, forecast, manage budgets understand risk profiles and explore VFM opportunities
