Role: Interpreter – Dari / Pashto (re-opened)

Contract Length: Anticipated 3 months

Location:  London.  1-3 days per week, as required for Business needs with an induction week in office. You must live in commutable distance to London.(No expenses for travel).

Pay Rate:  Competitive Market Rate

 

Our client is looking to hire an Interpreter for approximately 3 months.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Interpreter you will play a pivotal role in facilitating effective written communication between staff and customers who speak Dari and / or Pashto.

Your exceptional language proficiency, cultural sensitivity, and strong interpersonal skills will be instrumental in bridging linguistic gaps, enabling successful written interactions with customers, and case work resolution.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Fluency in Dari and / or Pashto, demonstrated through formal education or professional experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with the ability to remain composed under pressure and adapt to various speaking styles.
  • Deep understanding of cultural differences and sensitivities, with a strong commitment to promoting cross-cultural understanding.
  • Knows formal documentation to recognise if genuine.
  • Knowledge of Afghan locations would be highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in interpretation services is desirable.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft and willingness to learn how to use the platforms.
  • A track record of punctuality and dependability
