What's involved with this role:

Two Waste Operatives - General Industrial are required to be responsible for; Priority Waste, Priority Cleansing and General Waste Collection and Cleansing Duties. The post holders will work under the general direction and reporting to appropriate Area Cleansing or Waste Collection Manager or Operations Supervisor.

Duties may include:

  • Required to record all activity accurately and report to colleagues in written, electronic and verbal format as required.
  • Liaise with recycling and refuse collection teams and advocates working within the Customer Service Network.
  • Provide specific advice and support to residents verbally and / or in writing and also ensure where appropriate any agreed actions such as ordering and delivering wheeled bins / caddies and monitoring their proper use are fulfilled.
  • Deliver a high quality, customer focussed service including the provision of support and advice to assist residents in presenting wastes in the required manner.
  • Act calmly and professionally when dealing with residents in, at times challenging situations, ensuring that positive outcomes are achieved
