Location: Aldermaston Reading – full time on site
Contract Length: Approx. 12 months

JOB INFO:
An Interim Quality Engineer is needed on a contract basis for approximately 12 months.
You will provide local Quality expertise to support numerous internal or external stakeholders of within their specific area.
In this role you will work as part of a cross functional team to deliver improvement through collaboration on projects and programmes.

What you’ll do:
- To ensure that Quality is represented at all stages of programme, project, trial or production.
- Provide technical guidance and customer support to ensure that deliverables and targets are met.
- Maintenance and enhancement of own skills, knowledge, and capabilities necessary to support both current and future work programmes.
- Identify areas of continuous improvement to promote and enhance Quality capability.
- All - maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player.
- Support delivery of technical assessments using appropriate methodologies and contributing to capability development.
- Attend design/technical/task reviews, defect reviews and stakeholder meetings as required to ensure Quality is represented.
- Control of inspection/calibration/reporting and processes, to ensure Quality delivery is maintained.
- Engagement with relevant stakeholders across the team, the UK and our international partners.
Who you are:
- Background in quality
- Understanding of quality tools
- Will consider exp or qual
- Good working knowledge of quality management systems and related standard
- Quality / Engineering background
- Nuclear industry advantageous
- Highly regulated industry background
- Ability to understand engineering drawings
- ONC/HNC or equivalent in a relative discipline, or extensive practical experience
