JOB INFO:
The role of the Project Engineer / Messaging Technical Installation Specialist is to support the MM Project Team (PT) with identifying the scope of work required to enable the installation of MM to approximately 40 sites, all within UK mainland.
The successful candidate will be required to liaise with the Digital SCIDA team, site SCIDA’s and Customer Managers and represent the team during site surveys.
They will also be required to support the ECR process and oversee the Contractor’s installation of MM at each site to ensure the capability is installed in accordance with the applicable standards.
The role will include significant stakeholder management including liaison with stakeholders to ensure all sites are prepared to enable the Contractor to install MM in accordance with the schedule.
Project Engineer will be need to travel around different UK sites looking at network installation. critical national infrastructure so for UK only which is why Sole UK national can only be considered.
Existing security clearance is not a prerequisite but will always help.
Key Skills:
- Experience and use of Defence SCIDA Standards (JSP 604,440, SDIP
- Experience of delivering Tier 3 infrastructure on UK sites.
- Experience Electrical/network Engineering - Processes - Cisco/Juniper/ECR
Who you are:
- Experience and use of Defence SCIDA Standards (JSP 604,440, SDIP)
- HNC or Electrical/Electronic Discipline, or experience of such disciplines
- Experience of 18th Edition Electrical Regulations
- Experience of Defence Installation on Crown Estates (Scoping, Siting, Installation, Cabinets, Cables and Infrastructure)
- Experience of co-ordinating, controlling and Project Managing multiple assigned CIS Infrastructure/Installation sites
- Experience of stakeholder management
- Experience of implementing, managing and controlling multi-regional projects across multi-level security classifications.
- Experience of ensuring risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, changes management, actions and decisions are recorded, managed, mitigated and escalated by exception as appropriate.
- Experience of OSP Design and Installation to team and Industry Standards (JSP/SDIP)
- Experience of delivering Tier 3 infrastructure on UK sites.
- Experience working as an IDA liaising with Network Architect and SCIDA.
