Interim Laboratory IT Systems Analyst -Remote Working - PSR 1JP00058124 *Re-opened*
Pay Rate: Up to £550 per day pay range subject to IR35 status
Location: remote, with one day in the Lab (Leamington Spa).
This role is currently until 30-09-22, with the possibility of a extension, for the right candidate.
A Laboratory IT Systems Analyst is required with both Business Analyst and Project Management experience.
Key Accountabilities:
- Evaluate laboratory systems workflow, anticipate and capture requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and support the definition of laboratory IT solutions
- Participate in requirements workshops with business stakeholders, ensuring a systematic approach for eliciting, capturing, and evaluating user requirements
- Analyse and review IT systems support incidents to identify opportunities for improvements and risk in current systems
- Define and produce appropriate analytical artefacts detailing functional or non-functional requirements, including systems and business workflow process maps
- Assess and drive process improvement initiatives and support any accompanying business change
- Build relationships and work closely with the LIMS product owner, instrument and software vendors, laboratory process design team, data science team, laboratory quality and compliance team, and wider T&T systems owners to ensure dependencies are proactively managed with these workstreams and a broad range of requirements are met for these stakeholders
- Support the solutioning process where required, with artefacts such as process maps or wireframe designs
- Familiarise themselves with the detailed systems workflow and user steps for key laboratory systems including LIMS and results analysis solutions
- May be required to support with systems testing activities on occasion, inputting into test plans, test scripting or test execution activities
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience of working with laboratory IT systems in either laboratory operations, support or implementation context
- Previous experience of working with systems users and proving excellent communication skills through establishing positive relationships
- Experience of maintaining robust analysis processes in a complex stakeholder environment, using a range of systems analysis artefacts, such as systems workflow process maps and deviation/defects logs
- Experience of working with multiple software vendors in an integrated environment.
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience in performing or supporting root cause analysis investigations into IT incidents in a laboratory or healthcare setting
- Experience is supporting testing activities in a software implementation project in a laboratory setting
- Systems analysis, supporting projects in a full SDLC in a complex, integrated, and regulated healthcare environment
- Experience of capturing and refining user requirements collaborative working with users
- Experience of successful requirement capture and systems workflow analysis in clinical diagnostics, where software is validated to GxP / Pharmacovigilance / ISO13485 standards with a process-driven approach to clinical risk management and requirement traceability
- Experience of working within clinical diagnostics, pharmaceutical, or specifically in genomics laboratories
- Graduate in life sciences or IT / engineering desirable
