Role: Investigation Officer
Contract Length: Anticipated 6 months (rolling contract)
Location: Gillingham – hybrid – 3 times per week in the office

Our client is looking to hire an Investigation Officer for approximately 6 months. (This role has the potential to be extended on a rolling contract, for the right candidate.)
Key accountabilities:
- Plan, co-ordinate and conduct investigations in collaboration with the team
- Assist with applications to the High Court for search warrants and with on-site investigations using formal powers.
- Comply with statutory duties and procedural requirements in all investigatory activity and analyse, assess, and present to the team leaders, the evidence gathered during an investigation identifying whether it is sufficient to proceed and to assist in drafting appropriate documentation.
Top 3 essential evaluation criteria:
- PIP 1/Pip 2 accredited
- Recent investigation experience
Minimum Requirement:
- Applicants will have recent experience criminal or financial investigations including exhibit chain of evidence, witness statements and pocket notebook completion and offence interviews
- PIP 1/Pip 2 accredited to support criminal investigators in the gathering of intelligence and evidence in relation to border related crime, primarily controlled drug importations.
- Driving licence
