City: DARLINGTON

Quantity Surveyor to join the Council working as part of the Construction team. Your will work closely with the Head of Building Services to manage the finance for a range of construction schemes. These include major new build housing developments, capital works, schools, and public listed buildings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertaking the forensic analysis of tender, contract and claims documents
  • Supporting colleagues and clients with the preparation of claims for loss and expense
  • Offering support with the preparation of any documents relating to the adjudication process
  • Draft written reports, setting out the processes in place, conclusions, solutions and recommendations
  • Support the business with their plans to grow, contributing to business development and network events

Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant field and experience as a Professional Quantity Surveyor and dealing with a range of building construction schemes.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of post degree qualification experience

Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
