Our client is looking to hire a Lecturer / Technical Trainer – CISCO Networking & Switching.
A Lecturer / Technical Trainer – CISCO Networking & Switching is required to deliver Lectures and training for a 12 month intensive course in which students will finish as MS Engineers. This is a continual course and there are no term breaks.
As the Lecturer / Technical Trainer (CISCO Networking & Switching) you will deliver technical theory lectures and practical training in computer sciences and in particular computer Networking and Operating systems.
We are looking for a Lecturer / Technical Trainer with previous experienced as an IT/ICT lecturer or technical trainer with experience delivering lectures in a higher education establishment. You should have a level 6 Degree in computer sciences or level 6 vocational qualifications in IT/ICT and in particular CISCO Academy Instructor qualification along with certification in CISCO routing and switching (ITN, SWRE, ENSA (ROUTE, 300-115 SWITCH and 300-135 TSHOOT).
As the IT Lecturer / Technical Trainer you will have the following responsibilities:
- Responsible for IT/ICT lectures and training.
- Delivers technical lectures and training on the following subject areas CISCO Networking and switching and/or Microsoft Operating Systems (Server and Exchange) MTA or CompTiA
- Draft and maintain training delivery documentation (lesson plans and lesson content including delivery methods and media.
- Maintain a safe training environment conducive to learning.
- Must have knowledge/experience in either:
- Networking
- Understand how comps are configured, how they link together
- Familiar with routers – configure these to make network run smoothly
- Deal with any network issues, network security
- Operating systems
- Configure servers, client servers, configure a group of computers to behave with emails, and different operating systems
- MS operating systems, exchange and server principals

As the Lecturer / Technical Trainer you will have worked in a similar role and will have the following skillset:
- Experienced IT/ICT lecturer or technical trainer with experience delivering lectures in a higher education establishment.
- Level 6 Degree in computer sciences or level 6 vocational qualifications in IT/ICT and in particular CISCO Academy Instructor qualification along with certification in CISCO routing and switching (ITN, SWRE, ENSA (ROUTE, 300-115 SWITCH and 300-135 TSHOOT).
- Or Microsoft Operating systems (Server and Exchange to MTA standard).
- Or CompTIA accreditation equivalent to the above.
- Minimum of level 4 qualification in teaching and education or similar vocational trainer qualification. Post Graduate Certificate in Education or Advanced Certificate in Education in the Post Compulsory Education Sector is desirable.
- Excellent use of the English language, specifically the ability to articulate complex subject matter and review and scrutinise written text (mark written assessments).
